As part of a four-year $416,000 grant from the National Science Foundation encouraging more effective ways to teach science and math in high schools, 28 teachers from across the nation recently attended a weeklong workshop hosted by the Thayer School. Professor John Collier '72, Th'77 based the instruction on a highly popular entry-level engineering design course he has taught for more than ten years.
