When you move, old talents come out of hiding. At an evening performance here I at Kendal there was a good play reading by 12 of the residents. Jim Keeley directed the action and was the most vigorous of the readers.

At election time I was asked to introduce candidates to Kendal audiences, and I hoped that Perkins Bass would be stopping by as a candidate for governor or senator—but I guess he's resting on his laurels. Heard his name on the radio one night, mentioned by the man who beat him in a congressional contest.

Over the winter we in Hanover enjoyed watching the expert skating of Dartmouth hockey players, which now include women. I circle Thompson Arena each time I'm there to see the wonderful plaque with HafeyArthur's picture which commemorates the Ivy-record 1946 season without a loss. That included the final 12 games while Hafey was head coach. Next to it is a picture of 1934's Ivy League champions. Such a thrill to see the beaming faces of Hafey, Jim Walter, DonCrowther, and Stan Neill and memoryarousing to see those of the departed: RoaldMorton, Howie McHugh, Ike Powers, BobBennett, Frank Spain, and manager JackHinsman.

Jerry Danzig recently received a top award from the Public Relations Society of America for his leadership in service to the New York community. They recalled that he was a media advisor to Nelson Rockefeller and one of WOR Radio's first radio personalities.

Betty Reeve likes her Meadow Lakes (Hightstown, N.J.) apartment. Having a 34 couple, Art and Alma Erickson, moving into the area helps the adjustment to changes.

Ralph and Jackie Brabbee report on a full travel schedule that ranges from Pass Christian, Miss., to Washington Isle, Wis. Their three boys are joining them and riding in Ralph's '41 military jeep. They are looking ahead to a family celebration of their 50th this spring after a Caribbean cruise.

Someone recently gave me good advice that required a shift of just one letter: when you can't comfortably adopt a new behavior pattern, get adept at adapting to it.
