Bill Mackay responded to his birthday card with the information that he shared the same birthday with the late Henry Fonda. Bill has been slowed up by a hip replacement that precludes a visit to Hanover in the near future.

Chuck Baker is another on the disabled list, with a broken ankle that will immobilize him at home for a while.

Head agent Tom Gillespie reports our class was one of the first to exceed its Alumni Fund quota this year, with 93 contributors and 16 leadership donors. This splendid showing is a tribute to Tom's devoted service.

With sorrow we report the recent passing of Larry Scammon and Ken Ballantyne. Also Peg Williamson, wife of Bob who died five years ago. Peg was a sister of our classmate Gordon Colby, whose father and grandfather were graduates of Dartmouth.

Bob Long is interested in hearing from any who might attend an early football game in Hanover so that he can plan a mini-reunion there. Look for his next Speakeasy. Noted in the cocktail lounge of The Inn at Grafton, Vt.:

God in His wisdom sent man the grape To cheer both great and small.

Little fools sometimes drink too much And great fools not at all.
