A Dino-Sized Honor

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR Joel D. Blum of the Department of Earth Sciences is one of 15 scientists named by President Clinton to receive the 1993 Presidential Faculty Fellow Award. Among other things, Blum's research has yielded new clues about

environmental changes that led to the extinction of the dinosaurs. Along with the Presidential honor goes a five-year $500,000 grant from the National Science Foundation.
