A Dartmouth assistant professor of physics and astronomy, Marcelo Gleiser, was one of 15 American scientists named by President Bill Clinton as a 1994 Presidential Faculty Fellow, the second nominee from the College in two years. Gleiser will use his National Science Foundation grant $100,000 annually for up to five years—to further his theoretical research into the effect on the universe of the Big Bang. Gleiser is also one of two professors who recently originated a course for non-science students called "Physics for Poets."
Gleiser: onehappy Fellow.
