The, former treasurer and head agent who helped lead the class of '68 to five new fundraising records was honored with the College's Alumni Award in September. Now class president, Mark Waterhouse has always been an active volunteer for Dartmouth, Serving at various times as class and regional agent, class executive committee member, club president, and member of the Alumni Council. A leader in business as well, Waterhouse is president of the American Economic Development Council, president and one of four co-founders in 1986 of Garnet Development Group, and served a deanship at the University of Oklahoma Development Institute 1989-93 (while still living in Connecticut). A distinguished psychology major, Waterhouse was manager of the the football team and with Dave Gavitt '59 founded the Friends of Basketball. He served with distinction in Vietnam and earned advanced degrees in economics and law. tie has led numerous community: and economic programs in Connecticut, has passed the 100 time mark as a Red Cross pheresis donor, and has been known to whip up a fine, frothy home-brew.
