For more than two decades, geography professor Robert Huke '48 has been helping direct the "Green Revolution's" high-yield strains of wheat and rice and farming techniques to where they are needed most. Working for the International Rice Research Institute, Fluke and his cartographer wife Ellie have mapped out where the Green Revolution has taken hold in Asia, where it has not yet arrived, and the resource challenges that must be addressed in marginal and therefore poverty laden terrains.
Huke tells where the revolution is greenest.
