Last call. It's now or never. Our one-and-only 50th Reunion is just a whisker away. Put the poodle in a kennel. Park the parakeet with Aunt Patsy. Grab the wife and head for the Ledyard Bridge.

In our March and April columns, we touched on some classmates who have "made a difference." Let's add a few more. Joe Vancisin called the shots as Yale basketball coach for 19 years, was executive director of the Collegiate Basketball Coaches Association for a decade and half, and was manager of two Olympic BB teams. Bill Turpin shaped overseas economic policy with the State Department, and he has taught Latin and Greek to teenagers. John Mulliken guided Governor Nelson Rockefeller as his press secretary. Lawyer and judge Monte Basbas has spent his life in Massachusetts public office. RicBradley preserves the environment and composes serious music. Music professor WileyHitchcock was co-editor of the four-volume New Grove Dictionary of American Music, published in 1986. West Shell has been honored as Mr. Real Estate in Cincinnati, and he established a chair in real estate at the University of Cincinnati. Bill McElnea has been deeply involved with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and is currently its vice chairman. For the past 15 years Dan Donahue has headed a small company which extends the life of railroad rails. And Bill Foye has been a pharmaceutical phenomenon in scholarship, research, and writing.

Maybe we should mention Dick Tarlow for providing millions of golfers with Footjoy shoes and other golfing amenities, and restauranteur Jerry Brody for serving up a zillion happy digestions via his string of fourstar eateries.

In March we identified Tom Magoon as having spent "a lifetime of counseling and work with churches and lepers." Wrong fellow: it was Bill Davies. My apologies; must have had the bi-focals on upside-down.

Last column before Reunion. Dream of glory: to see all 500-plus of our living classmates in Hanover June 10-12. To those 200plus who are still uncommitted: come along! You can all stay with us in Cornish we've got 300 acres. That's it. Blessings.
