Hazy, hot, and humid! I just need that reminder when the frost is on the pumpkin. Attention classmates, flash bulletin: our news black out has been lifted. I was not sure word had gotten out.
Thanks to Maximos Nicholas Nikitas we know Plymouth, Mass., is aware. Joanne and Nick are the proud parents. Maximos arrived on July 11 and weighed in at 7 1bs., 4 oz. The rock is still intact.
In a move undoubtedly inspired by the magnetism of Pete Wilson, Gary Dicovitsky has moved to California to oversee the development, alumni relations, and public affairs responsibilities at Pomona (no word yet on the purchase of a little GTO). In this movement of executive power in our class to a western White House, Wilson is trying to be the player to be named later in the bi-coastal swap of heads of state. Still maintaining his eastern ties (no Shel, he does not need another one), Dico was recently named presidentelect of the Alumni Council, giving us a visible presence in the council. He is expected to open meetings with, "Welcome my fellow alumni dudes and dudettes...." Wayne Young will coach him on that. Speaking of which, Wayne is back in Hanover this fall from Santa Monica for his annual stint as women's rugby coach. He will be teaching a pre-law course referred to by his students as "Crime, Slime, and Beating Time."
Finally, Dico reports that he heard a classmate of ours is the dean of architecture at University of Virginia, but does not know which one. Any help out there?
