The Cube would have loved it. The annual New York Fun Fest continued as a highlight of the year for the 60-odd 's6ers who traveled to Gotham City for a weekend of meetings and meals. On Friday a spirited class meeting was held at the Yale Club, followed by a fine dinner. The "entertainment" was Line Spaulding relating his scary adventures on a Transatlantic sail in a 44-foot Alden sloop in the company of several non-sailors. Saturday night was the great Chinese feast, as classmates, wives, and friends gathered in Chinatown for an 11-course Chinese take-in meal. Sunday saw 5 0 or so assembling for brunch at Hal Gordon's penthouse, where several of the world's largest problems were Settle once and for all. Kudos to Rosenwald, Sodokoff, and Gordon for their hard work in arranging a very special weekend.

Notes gathered from various classmates in N.Y.C.: Bill Crate came up from Rumson, N.J., where he sails on a 32-foot Bristol (nonetheless, he had a hard time relating to Spaulding's misadventures). John Koehring has retired after 36 years with AID and spends a lot of time in a cabin in the Adirondacks with Beth. Buddy Schattman was leaving the next day for a skiing vacation out West. Bud Rosenthal consults three weeks a month for IBM; he drove in from New Canaan with Jack Billhardt, who consults a fishing rod a great deal. Roger Schumacher wants to retire in two or three years and move south (I recommend North Carolina). He reports that John Allen has surfaced in the Norfolk area and was seen at the Princeton game. Flint and Corky Ranney came over from Nantucket on the ferry for their annual sojourn to the mainland. Leeand Jane Gammill and Pat and Kirby Fowler promised to make reunion in June of' 96. WillSogg and Dutch Rosenberger shared Shaker Heights stories and discovered that Dutch grew up on the street where Will now resides. Leo McKenna and Chris Tomkins drove down from the farm in Vermont. Dick Whitney has sold his accessories business but is still consulting and traveling for the company. Bill Zales is consulting in textiles, while Doug and Ginger Keare showed up off the plane from a trip to India. Russ Brace has reluctantly (!) sold his charter-boat business in Rockport but continues in several other endeavors. Bob and Pam Faulkner, Tom and Abby Rosenwald, Abner and Cindy Oakes, Mike and Marjorie Grunebaum, Joel and Marsha Ash, Tom and Betty Gidley, Sam Peterson, Wally and Sybil Pugh, Bill and Karen Tell, Ted and Nancy Bremble, Bill and Jeannette Webb, Bert Whittemore, Len and Lee Clark, Ken and Patricia Geary, John and Helen Higgs, and Mike Zissu were all seen or heard during this fine weekend.
