Your Secretary seems to have been somewhat delinquent about getting news to the MAGAZINE, so we will try at this time to consolidate both meetings into one.

On the first Saturday in June we held our annual clambake at South Freeport, but due to inclement weather the turn-out was rather small. However, congratulations are in order to our bake master, Merrill Worthen, who performed a noble deed in shifting the center of things from the site on the shore to the Community Hall at South Freeport. Whatever was lacking in quantity was certainly made up in quality of the group that was present.

On Dartmouth Night, the first meeting of the new year was held at the Cumberland Club with a good number of loyal Dartmouth sons in attendance. Due to the postponed elections, these were held on this night and resulted as follows: Jim Robertson '21 - president; Hadley S. Ward '41 - vice president; Arthur Peabody '41 - treasurer; and Edgar A.Curtis Jr. '40 - secretary. Our retiring president, E. Spencer Miller, was to go on the executive board for a period of three years. Upon installation, our new president outlined the plans for renewed effort as far as the Scholarship Fund is concerned, and we all feel that this will gradually gain momentum as the year rolls on. Plans were also made for a gala affair sometime during the first of the year or possibly to coincide with Christmas vacation, with invitations to undergraduates.

Secretary, 58 Morrill St., Portland, Me.
