The annual Class Officers Weekend was held May 5-6 with approximately 503 in attendance (324 officers, 156 spouses, and 23 guests). Our class again had the largest attendance, with ten officers, eight spouses, and one guest. Included were Jeanand Al Brash, Florrie and Bill Fitzhugh,Dick Hube Louise and Put Kingsbury,Lois and Bob McLellan Myra and BillMathers, Yank Price, Margaret and DonRadasch, Bea and Dero Saunders, Helenand John Wallace, and guest Lou Hawkins.

The Great Class of 1935 was honored by the presentation of the 1995 Special Recognition Award acknowledging all we do for the College and one another. In addition, The Tear Bag, with Dero Saunders as editor, was named for the second time ever as the best class newsletter. Several years ago The Tear Bag was the best with Dero and Reg Bankart as co-editors.

On May 11 there was a dedication of a building at Skidmore College called Colton House in honor of George Colton. He served as a trustee of Skidmore for 14 years, acting as chairman for his final three years.

Jack Rubin and his wife, Leah, recently attended a Gilbert & Sullivan production, The Gondoliers. Upon opening the program, they found an excellent photograph of our own Doc Beach, who has been associated in many capacities with the Simsbury Light Opera Company for 50 years. Doc was aptly described as a man of "jollity," one with spirit and unending enthusiasm.

Hugh and Cia Wolffs son recently returned as the guest conductor of the Washington's National Symphony Orchestra, where he was associate conductor ten years ago. He also now holds that post with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra.

The deaths of the following have not heretofore been reported: Frank Allen, FrancisBartlett, Jim Boldt (former class secretary), Cramp Carrick Ted Everhart AikenFrench, Edwin Goodman, and Bill Serrat. Since December 31, 1989, we have lost 106 classmates, which raised the total to 407. By adding at least 2 64 still living we reach a total of 671. Counting the 20 unaccounted-for classmates, the total would be 691, which matches the number matriculated, excluding adopted and honorary members. Perhaps Dave Buxbaum, our newly elected class secretary, will be able to do a better job of keeping track of our classmates.
