It was a beautiful spring weekend in Hanover when our president, ChrisPalmer, met with the class officers and members of the class executive committee to discuss plans for our first "official" minireunion, scheduled for Homecoming Weekend, October 20-21, 1995. In addition to the traditional Dartmouth Night activities and bonfire, there will be two mini-reunion events on Saturday. Before the game, there will be a BYO pre-game get-together at 11 a.m. Look for the class tent which will be set up next to Sphinx. It's a great place to meet up with your classmates. Make plans to attend the postgame class dinner at the home of Dick andBarbara Couch, 29 Lyme Road in Hanover. For those of you who will be seeking hotel accommodations for the weekend, the class has reserved a block of rooms at the Airport Economy Inn, (603) 298-8888. Anyone wishing to reserve a room should contact the hotel directly prior to September 20, when the rooms will be released to the general public.
The second item on the agenda for our May meeting in Hanover was to welcome Acting President of the College Jim Wright as the newest member of the class of 1964. Jim, who has now returned to his post as dean of the faculty, was welcomed to the class, presented with a diploma signed by the members of the executive committee, and solicited for the Alumni Fund by Sandy McGinnis at a dinner in honor of the occasion. Jim has said that he is looking forward to meeting the other members of the class, and we hope that the mini-reunion festivities will provide such an opportunity. So make plans now to come back to Hanover and visit with your new and old classmates during Dartmouth Night and our mini-reunion activities. I hope to see you there.
Next month I will get back to my "where are they now?" columns, starting with the men of New Hampshire Hall.
