Twelve months from now, hundreds of your classmates including the president of the College and three members of the Board of Trustees will be gathering in Hanover for the 35 th Reunion of the class of 1964. Be sure to mark October 8-10, 1999, on your calendar and plan to be there.

Now, as promised, my report on the rest of the Gile alumni, starting with MarkRiley (Sacramento, Calif.), Bill Woods (Ellensburg, Wash.), and Edward Youngs (Boulder, Colo.). After retiring from the seafood industry after 26 years, Bill is now an "old, slow, inexperienced hand" on his wife's ranch. When not ranching, he teaches at Central Washington University and manages a family timber operation in Alabama. Mark is also in academic life and is the chair of the department of foreign languages at Cal State-Sacramento. In August he returned to Hanover for the first time (one of those obligatory campus visits with his son) and reports that the school appears much the same, but the town is completely different—"l can't imagine 'bistro de Paris' succeeding in 1960—the Green Latrine's days are over!" Eddie checked in via the internet from his home in the shadow of the Flatirons. After retiring from Bell Communications Research after 25 years as a human factor design and test engineer, he moved to Boulder and continues to do similar work for U.S. West Advanced Technologies. He reports that "life is good" and that he is enjoying Colorado's outdoor lifestyle, especially biking and skiing.

Other former residents of Gile were more elusive, but I am able to report briefly on the activities of some of them. Robert Nickerson (New York, N.Y.) is a professor in the film department of New York University, Will Risley (Madison, Wise.) is a professor of Spanish at the University of Wisconsin, and David Abel (North Mankato, Minn.) is a professor of economics at Mankato State University. David is currently on leave from the university and is serving as president of the interfaculty organization for Minnesota State Universities. Fred Wangaard (Evergreen, Colo.) has retired from the Colorado National Bank, where he was president, and Barry Ramsdell (Cincinnati, Ohio) has also retired, from Proctor & Gambel, where he was a purchasing executive. Still going to the office are Rand Stowell (Dixfield, Maine), who is president of United Timber Corp.; JohnPreston (Alexandria, Va.), who is vice president of Economists Inc., where he serves as a consultant on anti-trust matters; and Roland Ungerer (Groton, Mass.), who is a physician.

And finally, Dennis Konkel (St. Paul, Minn.) is working for the U.S. Postal Service, Warren Cass (Manchester, N.H.) is in the insurance business, and WilliamPorter (Washington, D.C.) is a coin dealer in our nation's capital.
