A National Science Foundation grant of up to $200,000 over four years has been awarded to Xiahong Feng, assistant professor of earth sciences. Feng is studying the way isotopes found in a tree's cellulose contain a record of environmental conditions. The grant supports the development of both teaching and research among young faculty.
