You might be a Generation X-er if you're doing absolutely nothing pertaining to your major, and there was nothing strange about Bert n' Ernie living together. Anyway, on with the show. Move over Starbucks, here comes Caribou Coffee. Unless you live in Cleveland or other suburbs of the Midwest, you probably have not heard about John Puckett (and his wife, Kim's) coffeehouses. With money borrowed from credit cards, the Pucketts opened their first coffeehouses in Edina, Minn. Now, they have 80-plus establishments in all areas of the U.S. including Alaska. The couple met at the Tuck School and waited three years after graduating to start Caribou, named for a herd of caribou they saw while camping in Alaska. They are also connecting their stores to Barnes & Noble and Borders bookstores. Ah, I can smell the entrepreneurial brew percolating now.
