At 88 years old, Boston-born Eliot Winslow 31 T '32, is still chugging...er, tugging... right along. When World War II began, Winslow headed to the sea and never looked back. After his service in the navy and coast guard, rather than return to his pre-war sales job in Massachusetts, Winslow went to Maine to "hack" a life for himself on the sea. He established lished a passenger boat sen ice in the Boothbay area and spent his free time piloting oil tankers and navy destroyers. Now, although retired from the passenger service, he still captains a tugbbatregularly. And he still ventures inland occasionally, including to Hanover recently for Reunion. "Nice to be back there. Hard to recognize what was there when we were there,'' he said, referring to the presence of female students. "Bom 65 years too .soon."

Winslow, still at sea.
