As I write this in mid-September, and you read it in November, it's still too early to know how many of you plan to attend the '50 minireunion in Florida in January. However, BobMcllwain reports that early returns indicate a real big turnout. Remember it's to be at the Indian River Marriott Resort in Stuart, Fla., on the weekend of Friday, January 23, to Monday, January 26. IMPORTANT: If you haven't sent in the reply card (included in JoeMedlicott's newsletter), do so right away. If you've misplaced it, give Bob a call at (908) 766-3181 (N.J.) or (561) 234-2288 (Fla.).
And speaking of minis, this year's fall Hanover one is history as you read this, but there's another one coming up on February 13-15. Give it a try if you haven't been lately (or at all). It's always a good time and a chance to visit with old friends. You New Hampshirites and Vermonters especially ought to partake since it's less than an hour's drive. Come on over for an afternoon, an evening, or a full day.
With 50's 50th less than three years away, plans are beginning to gel for "the Big One," and you can help. First, there's Tom Ruggle's photographic exhibit. If you've any old photos of our Hanover days tucked away somewhere, send them to Tom for the historic display. His address: 626 Main St., Concord, MA 01742. Second, the 50th Reunion yearbook will be a big and important one. If you have any thoughts about what you'd especially like to see in it, pass them along. You can drop a note on one of Joe's green postcards. Lastly, I know that Reunion chairman BobLindell would welcome any ideas you might have on the Reunion in general (e.g., format, special events, uniform-of-the-day, speakers, etc.). Reach Bob at Box 343, Grantham, NH 0373 or (603) 863-6280.
Have a great Turkey Day...and send me some news.
