Since all of you read this column before the remainder of the Alumini Magazine, I am sure you are unaware that this month's edition is devoted to women at Dartmouth. Thus, it is appropriate that this month's notes recognize '54 wives who have done things beside keeping us on the straight and narrow (a fulltime task in itself).

Lastly, she is president of Women's Broadcasters Inc., a firm owning a permit to build and operate a radio station in Montauk, N.Y.

Carol Mullins has just retired after serving 12 years on the Evanston Board of Education (three years as president). She is also director of leadership of an organization called Evanston Community Leadership, which instructs people how to be leaders in the community.
We should also recognize the creative artists and sculptors, Marilyn Clements,Judy Steinberg, and Hedy Klineman, and the master chef, Millie Chan.
The obvious problems I have in writing this column is, unlike in the newsletter, I am limited by space and the phenomenal wives I do not know about. Another column would be appropriate if you communicate with me. (Try e-mail).
