Sheboygan, Wise., celebrated in song, is JonColby's hometown. And it's also the headquarters of Ametek, leading maker of consumer and industrial filtration and irrigation systems. Now they share a mailing address, since Jon joined as worldwide director of sales and marketing. He had been director of retail sales at Kohler's plumbing division. Dave Owens runs Kane's Motorcars in Wickford, R. I., and if you've got a car in need of TLC, Dave's high-tech equipment and encyclopedic knowledge should do the trick.

Fair, Isaac, and Co., a leading developer of predictive models, software systems and components, and database management services for the consumer credit, insurance, and direct-marketing industries, has elected Skip Battle to its board of directors. The San Rafael, Calif., company is looking to Skip to bring broad international business experience garnered during his 27- year career with Anderson Consulting. Skip is also a senior fellow of the Aspen Institute, a director of People Soft Inc., and president of the board of trustees of the Berkeley Repertory Theater. Rear Admiral Bill Hayden, former commanding officer of the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln, is now chief of naval air training at Corpus Christi, Tex. It didn't take long for Ed Kuriansky to return to public life. After 14 years as New York State's deputy attorney general and special prosecutor for medical fraud control, and one year as a partner with the Manhattan law firm of Kalkines, Arky, Zall, and Bernstein, Ed was recently appointed commissioner of investigations in New York City by Mayor Guiliani.

Bob Serenbetz wears two presidential hats. One, of course, is as president of our class, the other is as president of DNA Plant Technology. And Bob was featured in Forbes magazine's article on executives who have made the transition from big companies (Bob was president of a Warner Lambert division) to small.

Let us know how your transitions are going. Write, fax, call, or e-mail.
