Debbie Wilgoren, a reporter covering D.C. public schools for the Washington Post, recently married Rick Silber, an attorney with his own civil litigation practice. Debbie provided me with updates on serveral '89s: Jean Vendice (previously serving the Peace Corps in Africa) is finishing her M.B.A. at Harvard with plans to join her husband, Ed, in New York next fall. Yannakakis is in her firstyear of a Ph.D. program in history at the University of Pennsylvania. Chris Gates is in her first year of medical school at the University of Massachusetts (Worcester).

Seth Rosenthal is currently working at the Department of Justice in the civil rights area. Documentary filmmakers Jillann Spitzmiller and Hank were married in Redding, Conn., last June. They are at work on their second documentary film, Homeland, a contemporary portrait of life among Native Americans in South Dakota. Hank also reports that he was recently on an episode of Murphy Brown.
