Kate Graff McNierny wrote at Christmas to say that she and husband Ed '80 are busy raising their three children in the suburbs of Boston, Mass. Ed still works for Lotus and they both are active on their local public library board. The big family adventure this year was a weekend family hiking and camping trip sponsored by the Appalachian Mountain Club. It would seem the D.O.C. and the granite of New Hampshire can still be felt in our bones after all these years.

And now for something completely different: a news bulletin from the Shore Line Times of Guilford, Conn., this fall mentions our very own "top gun" A1 Chaker. A1 participated in the decommissioning ceremony of the aircraft carrier USSAmerica, one of the Navy's oldest carriers. A] served aboard her during her last mission to the Adriatic Sea during the Bosnian crisis as well as during her deployment to the Persian Gulf during Desert Storm.

Andrew Ryan wrote to say he has returned to his bluegrass roots now that he has jumped through all the medical world's educational and residential hoops, and has recently started private practice in orthopedic surgery in Lexington, Ky. Andrew, wife Toni, and children Wil and Abby (a '95 arrival) are coping with the joys of home-ownership, potty training, etc. Along with his own news Andrew passed on some tidbits about classmates.

He thinks that John Ferreby, whom he last saw five years ago, is still living and working in Louisville.

He also shared what may be old news about Teri Paluszcyk—that she is a general surgery resident in Phoenix, and may be thinking of "doing the plastic surgery thing."

And finally, in yet another tidbit of dubious authenticity, Andrew also claims to have seen Alex Madigan (he states, "at least it was someone who met a lot of her descriptives and had her name") interviewed in the Lexington paper about her equestrian pursuits. However, she listed an address in the N.Y.C. area and the alumni office thinks she lives in L.A.! Well Teri, Alex, John, are you where we think you are? Your class wants to know.

As this seems to becoming a column of unsubstantiated sightings and rampant rumor, (it appears that '84s are as hard to pin down as the Energizer Bunny) let me add some more sound bites.

Stephen Nakada and his wife, Deanna, are presently living in Madison, Wis. Stephen has been on the faculty in the division of urology at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics since July 1995. (That's Stephen's spare prose, not mine.)

Speaking of Madison, Laurie Bickart, is also living there with her husband, Steve Zhang, and their children.

Barely more detailed is this news passed on by Molly Wender, who tells us that Jane Blansfield was recently engaged and is planning to wed this summer. She will move from the Big Apple (working at Columbia University) to North Carolina. Who the lucky guy is, what she will be doing in N.C.—all remains a mystery. If you have any information please e-mail the tips hotline at .

Enfin (forgive my French), Molly did provide some very definite details about our 15th Reunion, which she got from Leigh Garry; so get out your calendars. It will be held Friday, June 19, through Sunday, June 21, 1998.

As we did for our last (tenth) reunion, we'll be celebrating jointly with the classes of '82 and '83. If you are interested in helping plan the Reunion (insert armtwisting), please contact either Leigh at 7 Meadow Place, Larchmont, NY 10538, or Molly at 6310 Cherry Tree Lane NE, Atlanta, GA 30328 or .
