This month I took matters into my own hands and called some long-lost classmates, an expensive but fruitful endeavor. So without further ado, here's the scoop on...

Glenn Gabriel Ben-Yosef (that means "son of Joseph") is in Boston doing market research and consulting for buyers and vendors of technology like banks and insurance companies. His company, Clear Thinking Research Inc., is on Dartmouth Street (such a loyal alum!). As he puts it, "I'm in charge of my own destiny and those who blindly follow me." Glenn also edits a magazine on Brazilian music called BOSSA. And perhaps most importantly in the long-term scheme of life, Glenn recently celebrated his bar mitzvah in Israel—hence the new name.

Margo Buckels and husband Robert live in Sacramento with daughters Alison 3 and Christine 8 months. Margo has her master's in public administration, worked for the California legislature, and is a homemaker and teaches Sunday school. We talked a long time about the pros and cons of staying at home with the kids, and I'm happy to say that she seems to have the balance just right between nurturing the next generation and taking care of her own personal and professional aspirations.

Speaking of babies...my daughter Samantha Rae was born right on time (December 16) and is celebrating eight weeks with us as this column heads to Hanover. Her sister Leah is enjoying her new toy and Dad and I are getting accustomed once again to surviving on no sleep. And our illustrious class president, BeckyOsborne, delivered a healthy Casey Ann oft January 27. Casey apparently is a football fan because labor began just as the Super Bowl was starting. Dad Randy, a Patriots fan, will be slow to forgive!

Back to the phone calls. ClaudiaBroeker and husband Philip live in El Paso, Tex., and are kept busy by Dominique and Cassandra, 3 1/2 and 2. Claudia stays at home with the girls and does medical transcriptions when time permits. Philip is a C.P.A. and native of El Paso. They are planning a trip to Europe this summer—I'm jealous. Claudia reports hearing from Dominic Gaeta (in Boston), Mary Beth Clark (married, but no other details available) , and Karen Lust/JayMcLaughlin (in Maryland with three boy children).

Wayne Fleisig, one of my fondest memories of Hanover, lives in Birmingham, Ala., and is "ecstatically, happily married" to Rhoda, a lawyer who works for a legal publishing firm. They have two girls, Rachel 3 and Rebecca 16 months). Wayne is a psychologist specializing in working with troubled families, especially kids who have developmental problems and/or have been abused. He is an honest-to-goodness TV star (appears on an internationally syndicated show called Parenting Life and the local Good DayAlabama) and writes a column called "Children Don't Come With Instructions" (no surprise to us new parents). He does volunteer work with literacy programs and just made partner in his private practice. Wayne is planning to write a parenting book on how kids model their parents. He is looking for a publisher and promised me a signed copy if I put the word out. Just goes to show I'm easily bribed! Wayne reports regular contact with KathleenDeLelo (newly married and teaching math in Massachusetts) and is in search of news on Eric Liebre. Eric, where are you? And finally, congratulations to Lynn Fabrizio, the newest class of '85 legal eagle.

Until next time, keep doing interesting stuff and let your class secretaries know about it.
