Rick Allen '75 is the new president and chief executive officer of National Geographic Ventures in Washington, D.C., a for-profit subsidiary of the National Geographic Society. He'll be responsible for the development of National Geographic television, interactive, maps, and retail projects. "Our largest company right now is tele vision, and in the TV and film world, die opportunities are enormous," says Allen. His first drama. Before joining Ventures, Allen was senior vice president of business development at Discover}' Communications and deputy assistant to President Clinton with responsibility for the administration's first major domestic initiative, the Corporation for National Service.
