Al Boerker reports from Manassas, Va., "My wife, Charlene, is in a nursing home and I live alone. But, I have a wonderful family living in the area|daughter Betty and her wonderful husband, Carl, four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. The family I see often. I plan to spend some time this summer in our cottage at Newfound Lake. I'll try to get to Hanover if I can."

Ralph Van Orsdel writes from southern California with news of the death of BobMussey's wife, Jean, and is sending a check in her honor and memory. "We are enjoying peace and quiet (?) in Rossmore, a very nice retirement community just east of San Francisco. I spent March in Hawaii visiting family and friends and really relaxed! I'm sorry I missed the 60th, but will try for a later one."

An update from Danny Marshall. His new permanent address is 8307 Gault Lane, Apt. #107, San Antonio, TX 78209; (210) 822- 4134. He is in an assisted-living residence with 24-hour care. "Progress is slow, but there is some!"

Don Badger reports in as follows, "My wife, Garnet, is on liquid oxygen around the clock. My first granddaughter was graduated from St. Louis University in late May and has a great job this summer on Nantucket. Grandson David B. III won his varsity letter in football as a freshman at Wesleyan University in Connecticut." Don also sent me a new photo of Henry Beck and his wife, Nell, attending a Mother's Day luncheon where Naomi Judd was the guest of honor. Henry looks hale and hearty but a little thin on top!

And, from Johnny Armour, "Was in Hanover briefly on May 9th; remembered fondly the Orozco murals. Bartlett Tower, where I once kissed my mother, was closed. There was a lot of construction! Ledyard Bridge is gone, but I enjoyed seeing it on my dinner plate! Talked to some students who were very polite."

Irv Brown, recuperating from coronary heart surgery, is starting to think of his golf game; "I must be doing good!"

A closing thought—if you find a path with no obstacles, it is probably a path that leads nowhere!
