Don't forget the Reunion! June 18-20 in Hanover! Kristin(Marshall) Cartwright and her husband, Bret Cartwright '90, welcomed their second child on Nov. 24: Christopher Joseph, who weighed 7 lbs., 4 oz. His big sister Abigail, who is 2 1/2, is also very excited about the new arrival.
Jeff Green spent a month last summer backpacking around New Zealand, Fiji, and Samoa. He did the usual adventure activities like bungee jumping, white-water rafting, and scuba diving. Back in the real world, Jeff is at UNC trying to wrap up his Ph.D. in social psychology, but it looks like he won't graduate before the big reunion. Jeff is teaching a research class this semester, and, for fan, an intro psych class to a group of young felons. "They keep stealing my paper clips for escape attempts."
Danetta Beaushaw sent me ten years' worth of news: Last April, during JazzFest in Louisiana, Danetta married Andy Thomson, who works for Compaq in Houston. Danielle Green was maid of honor and Trip Sargent was an usher. Other Dartmouth attendees included Karen Walters and Elaine Michaud. Along with friends from Brown, Harvard, Cornell, and Yale, it may have been the most Ivy Leaguers ever to descend upon a plantation wedding! Danetta and Andy honeymooned on the Big Island of Hawaii.
Currently, Danetta, Moira Red Corn, and Amy Smith are plotting to take an alum rugby team to the infamous Mardi Gras tournament in New Orleans in February 1999 (I'm expecting a full report from any of the survivors). Danetta met Moira for dinner in Oklahoma City in December. Having just returned from coaching in Hanover, Moira was full of news about the current DWRC team, which is in prime position for nationals in spring.
Danetta attended law school at Michigan with Phil McCune, Eddie Torain, and Peter Vorbrich. She started her career in mergers and acquisitions at a big law firm in Los Angeles (Sheppard, Mullin), ski bummed for a winter with Trip in Boulder, and then landed her dream job working in-house for Sonat Inc., an oil and gas company (Danetta's father worked for Sonat for more than 30 years). Danetta worked in Birmingham, Ala., and then Houston. In her free time, she has coached a local high school lacrosse team and, regrettably, declined coaching the Rice University team due to her hectic work schedule.

Josh Stein's record as the manager of senate campaigns is perfect: 1-0. Josh just managed the defeat of Sen. Lauch Faircloth by John Edwards. After Dartmouth Josh earned degrees from Harvard Law School and the John F. Kennedy School of Government. By the spring of 1997 Josh was working Durham, N.C., as a real estate project manager with the Self-Help Credit Union and the NC Minority Support Center. In March Josh joined the Edwards' campaign. By May 1998 Josh was campaign manager. Josh has not yet decided whether to move to Washington, but some big changes are coming: Josh and his wife, Anna Stein, are expecting a child in February.
