Our own Martin Spottl is making his mark in the film world. He recently cowrote and directed the independent film Across the Line starring Brad Johnson (Flightof the Intruder, Always). Martin received his master's in film from USC in 1993 and has produced, written and directed numerous award-winning short films including Stonesin My Passway: The Robert Johnson Story. If you missed the July-August edition of Compensation and Benefits Review, then you missed an article by Marc Baranski titled "Think Globally, Pay Locally: Finding the Right Mix." Her first challenge is to work with the local business community to educate employers about HIV/AIDS and to foster an environment of compassion for affected employees.

Christine DiMilla Sarfati has sent an update for the first time since graduation. She has been married to her French husband, Marc, for two years and has a new baby named Leah. Little Leah made her first trip to Paris at 7 weeks old to meet her relatives, and by all accounts was a much better traveler than the family dog. Christine is working four days, a week at Fidelity Investments in Boston, where she is a senior project manager in the training division. The Sarfatis live in Chelsea, with magnificent views of the harbor and skyline, and offer their spare bedroom to anyone needing a good B&B near the airport. Christine keeps in touch with Susan Patterson and Amanda Carpenter Ragon, the mother of three boys.
