Matt Yee '82 had two career dreams. He wanted to be a hot-shot lawyer or a Pip. As in Gladys Knight.

After graduation, Penn Law School and a demanding corporate law job convinced him that the suits didn't fit. He returned to his native Hawaii to play music. An impromptu solo on Hawaiian Public Radio spurred the former Norwich Inn lounge pianist to quickly resuscitate his dormant cabaret act and introduce "Everyone's Favorite Chinese Auntie: Auntie Matilda." In his third CD, Every Facet of My Heart, Yee pulls favorites from his sold-out Matt Fee's CabaretShow. It features his personal anthem—the theme from The Mary Tyler Moore Showa Shania Twain cover and several originals of both Burt Bacharach-esque pop and traditional Hawaiian melodies.
