Is it Clothing or is it Art?

Both, if it's a creation by Susan Reckford '85, an environmental studies major whose one-of-a-kind clothing, such as her "Tree Coat," was on display at the Newark (New Jersey) Museum last winter. Made of boiled wool, the body of the jacket resembles the bark of a tree, while leaves and woolen acorns decorate the collar. "Each jacket 1 make is incredibly time-consuming," says Reckford. No wonderthe coat costs $4,000.
