Neel Chatterjee checked in with some '91 news. First and foremost, he was married in September to Carrie O'Bosky, the "love of his life," in a ceremony that melded together Hindu and Christian traditions. After honeymooning in Hawaii for two weeks, the couple returned to their home in Mountain View, California, where their "kids," Mulan and Pixie the cats, were waiting. Neel has worked for the past three-plus years at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe as an associate attorney, where he focuses on Internet liability counseling and litigation, including working with such clients as Lucasfilm and eßay. He's at nchatterjee@orrick.com. Attending Neel's wedding were Mickey Paine, who's living in Bellingham, Washington, and Sundar Rajan, who lives in Mountain View with his wife, Nandini. Neel reports Sundar is a proud papa, but I don't have any details on whether he has a son or daughter! Dan Burak and his wife, Gwen, are also new parents to Jasper, who was born about a week before Neel's wedding.

Brooke Spencer also did a great job of doing my job this month. She wrote to let me know that she's finishing her vascular interventional radiology fellowship at Washington University in June, and she's accepted a job in Mesa, Arizona, that will start in July. She tells me that Julie Dien Ledoux married Steve Ledoux and both are working as "happy investment wizards" in New York City. Lara Fetsco, a New York City attorney, is getting married in August to Lincoln, another lawyer-type. Yvette Mercado Hammel is working for a PR firm in N.Y.C., while husband Jeff Hammel is an attorney. Stephanie Sokolec Grais and husband Adam have a daughter who claims that surrogate aunt Brooke is the best "ring around the rosier" ever. And finally, Becca West and husband Chuck, parents to Sara Grace, are living in Wyoming, where Becca works for the Buffalo Bill Museum. Whew.

More babies: Jody Brant and his wife, Deborah, became parents to Samantha Rose in November. They live in Cincinnati, where Jody is an attorney with Katz, Teller, Grant & Hild, specializing in tax law, and Debbie is president of Brant, Woliver & Associates Inc., a management and fundraising consulting firm for non-profit organizations. Jim Hermes and Lisa Reninger Hermes, who were married in June 1998, are now parents to Taylor Kenneth, born in October. They live in Washington, D.C., where Jim is in government relations work, as he has been since graduating from law school in 1996; Lisa is a law librarian. Teddy Rous Hoke gave birth to Camille Marie on 10/10/00 at 01:01:00. (How cool is that?) Teddy is finishing her medical training in pediatric cardiology at Johns Hopkins, and husband George is an internist at one of the local Baltimore-area hospitals. Danielle Shirley Furlich is new mommy to Conrad James, born January 29, 2001. Danielle's other big recent project: she cowrote a book, Writing for a Good Cause, a guide to crafting proposals and other pieces for non-profit organizations.

Vanessa Bernstein has been busy since graduation. She finished her M.D. with specialty training in internal medicine and medical oncology. If that wasn't enough schooling, she's now working on a part-time master of science in clinical epidemiology from the Harvard School of Public Health. When she's not taking classes or doing research, she is a medical oncologist at the British Columbia Cancer Agency in Victoria. Vanessa is engaged to Andrew MacPherson, who is an emergency medical physician. They've been together for six years, and engaged for three, but with busy careers have not found the time and place for a wedding!
