Camille Masini recently dropped a note from the north with details about some of her recent activities. In January Camille participated in a mini-reunion of the Decibelles in Washington, D.C., organized by the group's newly elected alumni liaison Jennifer McCullough.
"Gareth Schweizer '98 kindly hosted the crew and we had an absolute blast!" Masini said. "Attendees included Jennifer, Emily Cooke '00, Erika Tower '98, Gareth and me. Lots of dancing, food & of course, singing!" I was also lucky enough to meet up with another Deci, Adrienne Wilson '99, in Dallas where I was traveling on business (in February)."
Camille lives in Toronto, where she has purchased a condominium downtown. She works in strategic alliances at a software start-up called Workbrain. "We are actively recruiting new business development, sales and development folks so if anyone is interested please pass the word along!," she said. "I would love to be able to recommend a fellow Dartmouth grad as we're heavily stacked with Harvard and Harvard Business School grads!"
Camille also relayed what's happening with some other Dartmouth alums: Trevor Peterson '96 is back in N.Y.C. working at a mergers and acquisition firm; Kristin Canavan is at Stanford business school; Daniel Perkins is still rowing and currently coaches at Tufts; Dave Belden is at Datasweep and training for an Ironman; Jorge Motoshige '96 recently made a career change from Yahoo!; Lewis Cirne '93 is working at Wilytech; Brent Boehlert'98 is back in California after working for the United States government in New Jersey; and Lani Sipe '98 is in London working with Goldman Sachs.
"If anyone ever ventures to Toronto and would like a hostess I am always happy to entertain!" Camille said. She also said she is trying to get in touch with Meghan Barry, to let her know about a Decibelles reunion in Hanover in May.
Speaking of reunions, several '97s got together in London over President's Day weekend for Lynn Thacher's "Hen Party," the British equivalent of a bachelorette weekend. Blaire Osgood reported: "Lynn moved to London when her fiance, Tobias Dengel (graduate of University of Pennsylvania), got transferred for the year for work. Jenn Jones, Lauren Hirshfield, Lauren Weinberg, Carolyn Wolff, Kallie Buehler, Barb Wentworth and I all helped Lynn celebrate in true Dartmouth style. Lynn is having a great time abroad, taking public health classes and preparing to start Georgetown Medical School in the fall. But, we're all excited to get her and Tobias back stateside for their July wedding on Block Island." Congratulations to Lynn and Tobias.
Congrats also go out to Matt Richards and Rory McGee, engaged last July 21. The wedding is set for August 11 in Seattle.
Happy spring!
