Another memorable reunion:—our 60th—is now history. Three busy days in Hanover, followed (for some of us) by three equally exhilarating days at The Balsams resort.

The class meeting produced a new slate of officers and executive committee members who will serve for the next five years, until our 65 th. For president, the class elected Bob Kirk, a Hanover resident who has held a number of elected positions in and out of the class. He was a past class president, class secretary, reunion chairman and representative to the Alumni Council. (In his civic life he was elected first selectman of Hanover in a write-in vote a number of years ago.) Others on the new slate: Frederick "Dutch" Schaefer, vice president; myself as secretary; and Frank Faruolo, treasurer.

Members of the executive committee include: Huntly Allison, Ted Arico, Dick Burns, Leo Caproni, Frederick Cassidy, John Corwith, Robert Encherman, Jim Erwin, Dave Heald, Art Henderson, Dick Higgins, Warren Kreter, Jim O'Mara, Proc Page, Bill Parmer, Jim Rendall, Bob Searles, Guy Swenson and Charles Weinberg.

Curt Pearson, a lawyer from Minneapolis, was a guest while several tributes were paid to his older brother, Stubby. For one, Tom Brokaw and NBC Nightly News interviewed Curt while doing a tribute to the 60 th reunion of the class of 1942. (Broadcast on Friday night, June 14.) Our memoial service was led beautifully by the Rev. Katy Riggs, ife of Dick, and featured another recognition of Stubby by Jim Idema. Corwith and Kirk read the names of the 65 deceased in the past five years.

Snapshots: Rita Thompson 's daughter to become the Hood Museums curator of African and Native-American art. Barbie and Irenee du Pont were with us for the first time in a long while; ditto for Jeff Marked, who shared the long-distance award (coming from San Diego) with Polly and Bill Clark (from San Francisco); Kirk and Allison sang in the University Chorus of the Upper Valley, which entertained us wonderfully on Monday night; Tuesdays banquet featured an appearance by President Jim Wright, a humorous talk by Jud Hale '55 and dancing; the weekend was the 30th wedding anniversary for Rikki and Stam Stambaugh; Martha and Red Wilson of Monticello, Florida, were at reunion for the first time since the 35th; everyone was delighted to see Peggy Rugen, widow of Dick, a recent class president; it was good to visit with Maggie and Warren Kreter; Janie and Sheriff Parmer were up for the first time in many years, on his new hips. Among the missing due to various medical problems were Dottie and Dutch Schaefer, Pat and Stu Finch and Jackie and Dick Higgins. All recovered now.

Plan now to make the mini-reunion October 11-12 (Yale Game) at Lake Morey Resort, Fairlee, Vermont.
