Happy summer, class of 2000! Keep your eyes open for details regarding alumni events in your area! A bunch were held during the spring and we hope many more will follow throughout the summer. I've received lots of updates over the past few months—keep sending them in and I'll include as many as possible First, some (more) engagement news: Benjamin Berk is engaged to marry Emily Hoffman (Wellesley '00) of St. Louis, Missouri, on May 24,2003. The two lovebirds met when Ben was assigned to shadow Emily on his first day volunteering at Mass General Hospital. They are registered at Crate & Barrel, if anyone wants to chip in for a couch! In addition, Jenny Gateno wrote in June: "I wanted to announce my engagement to Moshe Chess and share our joy with you. More information TBA."

Dave Dexter, Drew McCracken, Bruce Kennedy, Kelley Kohout, Rob Mitchell and Alex Shults spent a weekend this spring at a hunting camp on the Manokin River on Maryland's lower eastern shore. The group marshed, kayaked, oystered, camped, ate, drank, played cards, shot skeet and otherwise enjoyed themselves on the Chesapeake. As for what they're doing in "real life": Rob and Alex finished their first years of graduate school in New York, Alex at NYU Law and Rob at Columbia Med. Drew is working for a congressman on Capital Hill. Dave is at med school in Syracuse, and Kelley is doing real estate consulting in Chicago. Bruce has moved to Baltimore and is scouting investments for T. Rowe Price mutual funds.

In the "short snippets of information" category: Ainsley Ryan has landed a role this summer in Luigi Boccherini's opera La Clementina in Lucca, Italy. She will be studying at the Accademia Italiano di Canto under the direction of Herbert Handt. Visitors are welcome anytime! Liz Martin finished her first year at Dartmouth Medical School and spent the month of July in Guatemala working at a health clinic and learning Spanish. While she loves school, she was excited about spending time outside of a library!

Rory de Wilde is enjoying life in London and is studying developmental economics at LSE. Eric Dahlberg was elected to give the graduation ad- dress at his Georgetown public policy program graduation. He intends to "return" to Medford, Massachusetts, after graduation. Brian McLain has moved to Chicago to work at a private equity firm and be a little bit closer to his beloved Oakland As. And lastly, our fearless class of 2000 newsletter editor, Eric Buchman, is now in LA preparing to begin an M.F.A. program at the University of Southern California.

Kelly Bodio writes, "I was at the American Medical Association conference in Chicago in June and I was sitting at the back of the room when who walks by but Spencer Copland! He is

at UNC Chapel Hill and just finished his first year of med school. He'll be down there this summer working on a biomechanics project, which sounds pretty cool. He says that Rebecca Dirksen is down there as a tennis coach and that Ayn Huntington just moved down there, too. It was great to see Spencer again and catch up."

I've heard many interesting stories about some of you—starting graduate school, quitting jobs to drive cross country, returning home from the Peace Corps, becoming engaged and/or getting married—send me the information and I will include it in the next set of notes!
