We lost seven men since our last column: Walt Gresham was reported by the College as having passed away on April 4,2000; Bob Harlan, October 31, 2002; Hass Warrener, Decem- ber 16,2002; Dr. Wally Davis, December 22,2002; Bob Cushman January 7, Buzz Waters, January 10; and Bob MacLeod, January 13. (Obits follow in this and a subsequent issue.)

We also learned that the spouse of the late Eddie Wells, Barbara, died of cancer on February 7.

We had a note from John Davenport, who says he is surviving and upright with the help of a pacemaker. John says they sold their villa in Naples, Florida, and are situated in "good ol' Cleveland." They have not given up on Florida, however, planning to rent in subsequent years rather than support their own digs.

Jim Garnett dropped us a note with the sad news on MacLeod, but reports that things are going well for the Garnetts. Harry Edmondson also wrote us from Santa Barbara with the same news. He is getting plenty of exercise, with golf regularly in the morning and a walk on the beach in the afternoon. He and Kay celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past February.

According to class secretary Ned Bayrd of the Dartmouth Medical Magazine, Bob Clymer was in Mexico for the winter, having enjoyed a bit of Wisconsin turkey hunting and fishing for brown trout.

By the time you read these Notes John Finocan and Bobby Alpert will have once again hosted a '39 luncheon at the Seagate Club in Delray Beach, Florida (on March 13).

A Green Card from Charlie Sayward of Veto Beach, Florida, notes that he was a roommate of Doc Tower in Crosby Hall before he left Hanover in the early stages.

It is snowing like fury here in Maine at this moment and we wonder where we will put the stuff, having more than four feet piled up outside our door.
