We just learned this spring of the passing of Bruce Learned way back on December 4,1994. To add to this sad bit of news we report the deaths of Andy Calleja on February 9, Bud Bodge on April 2, Pete Salom on April 10, and Bill Lyon on March 9. And a note from Joe Urban's wife, Harriot, brought the sad news of the death of their 48-year-old son, Doug '71, in a snorkeling accident in California.

Don and Ethel Sayia had six good months in Porta Gorda, Fla., this past winter, though Don needed a cataract operation to pass a driving license test. The Jim Parks had a fine trip to Copper Canyon, Mexico, a trip complete with a train derailment which locked them in a day coach for nine hours, with a patrol of armed guards in attendance. They spent the summer in Montana. Eddie Wells wrote, via green card, that he was well, but that a recent call from Bud Little disclosed that Bud is having trouble seeing to read. Also he wrote that Dick Durrance is not well. No report on Dick's problem.

Howie Johnston celebrated his 80th at a Sarasota Dartmouth Club luncheon. He included a sympathetic note on his green card knowing that your secretary was in the midst of emptying a house of 36 years of living. The Bill Tomkins had a winter trip to China; this from Jim Corner who, with Doris, made the usual circuit to Vancouver and Oregon to touch base with their children. During their earlier stay in Florida, they stopped in to visit Bette Timbers in Boca Raton.

Woody Miller who underwent a hip operation which nullified further tennis activity, refused to take up golf. This prompted the Millers to leave their digs at Skidaway Island, for a return to Pennsylvania. But they will continue to summer in Deer Island, Maine. Please note that Al Tishman, our representative on the Alumni Council, has been assigned to the council's committee on athletics.

Finally, a reminder that the weekend of October 4, the Cornell game, is the date set for our mini-reunion. Call the Radisson and sign up!
