What better way to end the ski season and get ready for white water than the downhill kayak competition? Conceived by professional ski patroller Vaughn Stites as a fundraiser for Women's Information; Services, a Lebanon-based counseling agency, the annual event is held at the Skiway the last weekend of seasonal operation. Shown here making a run down the 300-yard course last year is Pete Bohler '03, who describes the experience as "pretty intense. The moguls are rough enough and then you hit a pool of water that is really, really cold." Photograph by Chris Milliman, Adv '96
