Our 67th reunion has passed into history, with special thanks to President Stan Berenson, who ran a wonderful show, to Charlie and Ellen Collis, who arranged the superb food and drink, and to our beloved Dr. "Chick" Koop, who joined us for his 88th birthday.

Marlene Putnam and Jan Nast spellbound us with two different but related views upon the world of art, and brilliant student Teresa Zhou '07, one of our '37 scholarship students, reminded us that our alma mater is producing world citizens who may help change things for the better.

Present also were graduates Brown, Putnam,Noyes, McCoy, Doremus, Smith and Gore. Hoped for but missing were: Blaisdell, Rotch, Emerson and Lowe. Among the widows were: Mary Fenn, Marge Berkowitz, Corky Ray and jane Handrahan. The latter two, reminders of our greatest football players, asked me the time of the Saturday afternoon game. I apologized for having to reply that I did not know.

The class agreed to plan our 68th mini-reunion for the weekend of September 30,2005. We hope that you will join the optimists who plan to be there.

The College has just issued an edict shifting reunions older than 50 from the June graduation weekend to some rump session in October. Objection, confirmed by unanimous vote of our class.

We still have hope of being the first class to send 70-year grads to walk at the head of the 2007 academic parade.

Dick Bankart, the Dartmouth son of Bib and Katie, reminds me that there is no "h" in Bankart. We remember gratefully the post-game parties at their Wellesley home. Your secretary is digging out from the remains of two hurricanes in one season. Olive Tardiff, who knows the area, e-mailed her concern.
