Nice note from Edwin Drechsel, secretary of the class of '36. Giving up his class duties for health reasons .Wrote From Venezuela WithLove, about a country now very much in the news.

Ed had a hand in oil production there long ago.

Harty Beardsley reports from Blue Hill, Maine, that he is aging gracefully. He asks about General Putnam and the wolves—now there's astory to interest a great outdoorsman like Harty.

The office is now keeping us well-informed about our three scholarship students. And they have written us nice letters of thanks. We should invite the current ones to the mini-reunion in September.

The Class of 1937 Scholarship Fund shows a book value of $208,520, a market value of $519,429, and 2002 income to three scholarships of $23,719.

Our current scholars are: Alexander Streeter '03 of Rochester, New York; Hiliary Plioplys '04 of Washington, D.C.; and J. Grant Rafter '04 of Wiscasset, Maine.
