Class members, wives and widows still meet monthly for lunch at the Norwich Inn. If you're here on the third Tuesday, you're invited!
At the 60th our class voted to recarpet the 44 Place on Baker-Berry's fourth floor. The new class president, Steve Tate, appointed a committee, chaired by Dick Whiting, to implement this decision. At the committees first meeting Wemo Epply reported on a study he'd done of the site. He said the area is the most popular study site on campus, that the carpet is in great shape and that needed improvements can be made for much less than the cost of recarpeting. Other committee members agreed with his assessment.
It was decided to have Anne Sargent, a wellrespected local interior designer who has done other projects for the College, study the site and report on its needs. She can't do this until January. (The deadline for filing these notes was December 20.)
Ms. Sargent's report and recommendations will be reviewed in this space in May. The committees recommendations, based on the report, will be voted on by the class at its annual meeting at our fall mini. Changes will include proper recognition of our class as donor of this area.
