I'm sure it's not too late to get your name to Bob Slater and Lyn for the great mini-reunion planned for July 14-17 in the "windy city." Along with Ted Weymouth they designed a great weekend, including an architecture river cruise, a guided tour of Millennium Park with its awesome sculptures and structures, a private docent-led bus tour featuring neighborhoods and historic districts—with a visit to Frank Lloyd Wrights Robie House—and then a dinner on the Navy Pier with fireworks. Call (414) 332-5654 or e-mail your intent to lyn@easttowntravel.com.

George Hall went where few would be willing to go and offered the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Silicon Valley an illustrated talk on "photographing mountains, buildings and trains—stuff like that" with nondigital equipment. Arisky presentation for Palo Alto, but who's surprised that George would take it on?

The New Haven Register did a great job reviewing the very significant ministry of our classmate, "The Peoples' Bishop" Peter Rosazza. The auxiliary bishop of the 700,000-member Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Hartford, Peter has served this office for 27 years. "Known for his accessibility and activism," Peter has won the hearts of the greater Hartford ecumenical community by his courage, "humility and willingness to get involved in controversy and express his opinion on issues of importance." He has championed the inclusion of Spanish-speaking Catholics but is as likely to be heard celebrating the Mass in French, Italian, Portuguese or Haitian Creole.

In late January the traditional New York City mini-reunion generated more than the expected interest, getting 19 of our brothers out for a class meeting on Friday afternoon, a great dinner to follow and then on Saturday a terrific presentation by professor Allan Stam on "Revolution and Instability Abroad: When Should the United States Intervene?" sponsored by the Dartmouth Alumni Association of N.Y.C. Doug Bleiler, Line Spaulding, Elliott Weinstein, Jack Tamagni, John Higgs, Bud Rosenthal, Dick Whitney, Len Clark, Bill Zales, Jack Billhardt, Clem Malin, Roger Schattman, Hal Gordon, Bert Whittemore, Dennis Minely, David Haight, Bill Tell and I listened to reports and engaged our president, Glen French, in discussion about our goals for this year and our hopes for the 50th reunion. Al Friedman joined us on Saturday morning.

Al's column in the DMS 'Alumni News & Notes" included word about Howie Green, with whom he reconnected after 45 years at their 45th reunion at Harvard's Medical School. Also there was Tom Kuhns. Then, by chance, Al and his wife, Diane, ran into Bernie Carpenter and Sandra on a Black Sea cruise. Dave Klein reports he has managed to mix skiing and surgery out in Montana. That sounds like a good deal!
