Lots of weddings to talk about this month! Trey Sears wrote in to say "Brenda Williams and I have been on cloud nine ever since our wedding August 27 at the Sears Tower in Chicago. Anthony Webb was the best man, Ronne Adkins was a groomsman, and Muriel Arroliga-Garcia was a bridesmaid. Guests included Amber Laws, Claribel Vargas, and Kellyanna Johnson. Brenda and I honeymooned in the Bahamas, and we will be living and working in Michigan. I am beginning my third year of a Ph.D. program in materials engineering at the University of Michigan and Brenda is doing public health-related work in Flint." I then heard from Brian Mason about his recent marriage to Jocelyn Woolworth 'OS. "On September 17,2005, we were married up on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. It was a wonderful and joyous day. Many Dartmouth folks made the trip to join us in the celebration. After our honeymoon in Antigua we moved out to Palo Alto, California. I began work at a product development company and Jocelyn is planning to teach elementary school. We are slowly moving into our apartment and loving life out in California. Come visit!" Finally, Dan Gaiemba let me know about his special day too. 'After five and a half years of dating, Rebecca Meyers and I (finally!) got married on September 17 in a beautiful ceremony at Gedney Farm in the Berkshires. Members of the bridal party included fellow '03s Melanie Fox, Evan Konwiser, Amish Parashar and I than Pelfan and we were so excited to celebrate with many more of our friends from Dartmouth who traveled from far and wide, including quite a few Zetes and Alpha Xis. Jesse McCann joined us from Seattle, earning one of the coveted 'longest distance traveled' awards. A great time was had by all—we didn't want the weekend to end! We're still living in Boston; Rebecca is starting her last year of coursework at Brown for her anthropology Ph.D. and I'm starting my third year at Bain & Cos. Next September Rebecca and I will move to the Mexico-Guatemala border, where we will live for a year while she does her dissertation fieldwork and I fight off the giant spiders. Nuestra casa es su casa."

Matt Muffelman sent an update about the Rowing World Championship, taking place halfway around the world in Gifu Japan. "Its been a wild ride, to say the least. My boat raced well on every occasion, beating crews from Japan and France to qualify for the medals final on Sunday. We had our backs against a wall, as we knew that we could race well and end up fourth or fifth, but to get a medal we had to throw caution to the wind. And throw it we did! We raced like mad- men for the first half of the 2,000-meter course, and, at that point, we were less than a second behind the third-place crew. However, even our best race and beyond wasn't quite enough to catch the top boats. For now I'm continuing to train in Boston, however in January I am moving to Princeton, New Jersey, to train with other members of the National Rowing Team in an effort to secure a seat in one of the Olympic class boats for 2008." Best of luck, Matt!

As expected, I heard there was an excellent '03 presence at Homecoming this year. Sightings included Ethan Levine, Rebecca Kurzweil, Bill Fay, Jess Tam, Vivian Lee, Scott Wisniewski, Evan Konwiser, Julie Matteini and Michael Golub. Check out some great pictures at www.buzzflood.org/dotw. php!
