Hello, super spectacular class of 2003 and welcome to summer. I am bound and determined to embrace the warm weather this year, and I hope you all have fun-in-the-sun plans too.

I recently heard from Kamil Walji, the multitalented gentleman who directed my stunning off-Broadway debut in Guys and Dolls sophomore year. He writes, “I’m currently based in Dubai working on private equity projects ranging from education and energy to health care and hospitality. The best part, of course, is being able to travel, most recently to Damascus, Syria, where we not only have potential projects, but also where my mom is currently on a volunteer assignment teaching English to nurses who are applying for postgrad studies.

“Outside of the office, as a member of the Dartmouth Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Alumni/ae Association (DGALA) board of directors, I am working on the DGALA 25th anniversary all-class reunion taking place in Hanover this fall from October 30 to November 1. I hope that many of our classmates will consider attending this auspicious celebration! More information about the reunion at www.dgala.org.”

If you have not yet made a donation to the Dartmouth College Fund, please consider doing so. Rebecca Kurzweil Levine and Joe Ackley have been working tirelessly on behalf of our class to make this our most successful campaign yet. I know economic times are tough right now, but the goal is participation. We’re currently at just under 24 percent and hoping to reach 50 percent by June 30. Even if you can only donate a few dollars, that still matters. Go to www.dartmouth.edu/~alfund for more information on how to give.
