We start with a huge thank you and congratulations to Dan Katzir and Mike Moody, who delivered a great 20th reunion. The class of 1986 set two records for reunion attendance, both by a large margin: most people at a 20th reunion. We had 732! (Old record was 694); most alumni at a 20th reunion. We had 265,26 percent of our class! (Old record was 240; Professor Slesnick would tell us this is a 10 percent overage.) Others are jealous. We had at least one '85 saying, "I want to be an '86." Soon there will be border patrol agents to restrict outsiders from surreptitiously becoming '86s. And Green Card will take on a new meaning (you may work for an '86, so long as you have a sponsor). We all owe gratitude to Davida Dinerman, our outgoing class secretary. She has done a tremendous job for (gulp) 10 years. If I do this as long we will all be more than 50 (except the Hagermans—twins age more slowly). You probably don't want me to attempt that longevity, but I hope for a few years I can be half as good and perhaps take us up to our 25th reunion. The efficient Dartmouth alumni maestros have already scheduled it: June 16-June 19,2011. Jeff Weiss would like to see us trump our own record for participation. Remember, weddings and births can be done in Hanover!

In the meantime Jeff and John Marchiony implore us to stay connected via the Web site www.dartmouthB6.org and through mini-reunions. You'll see there that John has already invited '86s to join him in Boston.

Individual news: A baby boy has joined the Julia Glickhouse Marines family in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Benjamin Jacob Isaac Mannes was born on June 16. He joins bigbrothers Philip (12) and David (11) and big sister Madison (8).

On August 26 Chad Rosenberger married Atissa Banuazizi, a lecturer in humanistic studies at MIT. She's also directed plays for Bostonarea theaters. Among Chad's groomsmen were Greg Fishbein and Andrew Walkling. Chad teaches international relations at Boston University, working as an assistant to the university's former president John Silber and writing a biography of Vaclav Havel, the Czech dissident, playwright and (eventually) president. Chad is still performing—this fall singing in a classical chorus called Musica Sacra. He and Atissa are moving to a new home in Allston.

Jeff Sternberg started off the fiscal year (July 1) with a wedding to Anne Fung, a Wellesley grad and ophthalmologist. He and his new bride live in San Francisco on Telegraph Hill and they invite '86 visitors (especially when they are home).

Quiz: The flamboyant '86 classmate who went from exotic dancer to CIA narc is a) Paris Hilton, b) Britney Spears, c) Heidi Fleiss, d) Jen Lyons or e) Ed Shanahan .No, our Dean Shanahan is actually headmaster at a tony Connecticut prep school. The answer is d) Jennifer Lyons Campbell.

Jens post-Dartmouth dancing, at clubs I dare not name here, gave way quickly to marriage and undercover work for the CIA in special ops. Her home is now Sun Valley, Idaho. She and her husband celebrated their 20th anniversary in July. Oldest son Ross headed off to Carleton College this fall.

Those of you who want to reconnect or update should notify alumni.records@dartmouth. edu or call (603) 646-2154. Additionally making the change on www.dartmouth86.org earns you the eternal thanks of our Webmaster! Bringing the lives of latent/dormant/mysterious '86s to our attention is semi-heroic. Please send known phone numbers, e-mails and brief blurbs about them to me. More news (a complete letter) is at www.dartmouth86.org.
