"It's just like riding a bike," they say. And so it is. I'm filling (you) in for Suzie this month, as she is concentrating on a slightly more important due date at the moment. Once Suzie has settled into new-momhood, I'm sure she'll tell us all about it! In the meantime, here's the latest on the rest of you: Jill (Feldman) Higman was married in Bermuda in April 2004 to Lt. Comm. Daniel Higman (USCG). "We moved to Cape May, New Jersey, where we had a beautiful tiful baby girl, April Rose Higman, on May 18, 2005," writes Jill. The arrival of baby April meant the absence of Jill and hubby from reunion, but you can always catch them in jersey, where Jill has moved from Deloitte Consulting to work for Aetna as the chief of staff for individual and small group markets. Sari Cohen has recently relocated after receiving her masters in naturopathic medicine in Arizona. She and husband Adam Pollack moved to New Hampshire, where Adam is working at Timken in Lebanon as a supply-chain analyst, and Sari is setting up a naturopathic medical practice in Manchester. From The NYTimes "Wedding Section" and an anonymous tip comes the news that Dawn Matthews recently married Peter William Kopsco in East Lyme, Connecticut. Dawn is a lawyer in the office of the defender general in Montpelier, Vermont, and her husband is also an attorney for the Vermont Department of Public Safety. We hope she will write in and give us all the details soon! We do have some wedding details to share that are quite like a fairy tale: Ashmita (Goswami) Von Habsburg has literally found her prince. By the time we read this, Ashmita will have married the Archduke Konrad of Austria (Konrad von Habsburg-Lothrigen) in Salzburg. The couple met at Benedikt Metternich's wedding in 2002 but didn't reconnect until 2004, when Ben suggested they get in touch. Ashmita's winter fairytale wedding included classmates Maggie Lockwood and husband Bill, Jennifer "Jenzie" Zepralka and husband Jonas, bridesmaid Jill (Adelman) Gandel and husband Steve, and, of course, matchmaker Ben Metternich and his very expectant wife, who was eight months pregnant at the time. A small Hindu ceremony in London on December 4,2005, was followed by the wedding in Salzburg on the 10th. The couple now resides in London, where Ashmita has been for the past few years. Back on the other side of the pond, our own princely class president emeritus Dan Garodnick won the East Side district seat on the New York City Council this past November! Ah, we can say we were there from the start. As a result of his victory and new job, Dan has resigned his post as litigator for Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton and Garrison. For more info on Dan's brilliant future, check out www. garodnick.com. Finally, did anyone else happen to investigate the cover story of The Boston GlobeMagazine on November 20 about how to party in style during the holidays? If so,you would have found that the partygoers on the cover were toasting our own Webmaster Ed Maori as the consummate host! Photos of Ed, his guests and his beautiful South End apartment, as well as tales of his famous "streamlined holiday cocktail bashes" light up the pages of Jill Connors's article "Party Perfect," which is all about Ed and the secret to his very stylish and successful parties —the main ingredient, which anyone who knows Ed can easily surmise: his generosity. So fun to read, Ed! Now, where's my invite? Okay, keep in touch, folks. You can write me whenever you want, but if you want to be published here, write to Suzie at suzanne.b.fromer.94@ alum.dartmouth.org—and congratulate her on the new baby while you're at it! See you.
