The all-nighters, the nonstop drinking followed by the inevitable throwing up...no, I'm not harkening back to my Dartmouth days, Andrew and I are just experiencing the joys of new parenthood. Little Daniel Jasper Hyman (well, not so little anymore; at his two-month visit the pediatrician declared him a "chub-a-chub"—hope that's not an official rung on the obesity ladder) was born in December, politely making his arrival the day before the N.Y.C. transit strike. I've somehow managed to grab a shower and time to sit down and write this, but I'm just grateful none of you can see the state of my house these days.

Thankfully, many of our classmates have been far more productive so I've got plenty to report. Lisa Johnson is living in Palo Alto, California, and has just started Snapdragon Baby Cos. along with Danielle Haas-Laursen. Snapdragon launched earlier this year when they unveiled their first product—high-end baby socks that snap onto (and therefore stay attached to) baby outfits, both out of the house and in the washing machine. For those of you not covered in baby spit-up, this is pure genius. Johnson writes, "Snapdragon has been my baby for a few years now. We have worked on our company and products while we both worked other jobs Mtime and its really nice to finally be in launch mode." That's right—in addition to starting a new company, Johnson also works fulltime in the regulatory and marketing departments at MAP Pharmaceuticals in Mountain View, California. You'll have to excuse me if this boggles my mind, as I can't even figure out how to wash and dry a single load of laundry in the same day. Johnson was kind enough to send me a few pairs of her snazzy new socks to test drive and I'm pleased to report that in addition to being a way cool idea and conversation-stopper in a room full of new moms (though, admittedly, we're a mushy-brained bunch) they work really well, keeping your tot's feet toasty and you from losing (more of) your mind along with your baby's socks. For more information about Snapdragon Baby or these nifty socks, visit www.snapdragonbaby.com.

I also received a big update from La Shae (Sloan) Grottis. After graduation she earned a masters in health administration at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She spent several years working at major health systems in Detroit and Indianapolis before deciding to make a career change in 2000. That's when she moved to Abilene, Texas, to work as director of student multicultural enrichment for Abilene Christian University. "Since being in Abilene, I met the love of my life and have learned what it really means to live a life of purpose. The year 2005 was an incredible year for me! I ran (and finished) the Disney World Marathon in January, and I got engaged in April and married in August to Sherwin Grottis. This was a wonderful first Christmas with my new husband." She writes that she keeps in touch with Lauri Lyte, Jasmine Myers, Ernest Coney, Don Gardner and Rich Breaux, all of whom are doing well.

And I'm pleased to report that Michael Mathis was named vice president and general counsel for Echelon Resorts, a subsidiary of Boyd Gaming Corp.

Well, my time must be up because I can hear screaming from upstairs—who needs a baby monitor? 'Til next time, and please send some exciting news my way; I could use a little vicarious living these days.
