Hot off the presses...Chris Curran '03 and Theresa Ellis are featured in a new book called Smart Moves for Liberal Arts Grads:Finding a Path to Your Perfect Career by Sheila Curran and Suzanne Greenwald, which shows college students and graduates how to turn their liberal arts degrees into meaningful careers. Theresa is the founder and executive director of Harbinger Partners, a Boston nonprofit that links community-based nonprofits and leading local or national companies by matching skilled company workers with nonprofits in need of technology assistance. Theresa's chapter discusses her Dartmouth education, including her off-campus internships and religion thesis and her struggle to find a challenging and rewarding career.

The authors wrote: 'At the ripe age of 24 Theresa had already explored and aborted her intended career path, held two jobs in the nations capital, served as the board chairman of a nonprofit organization and briefly worked as a selfemployed consultant. At last check five years after founding her company, her budget has expanded more than tenfold and her efforts are making a difference. Theresa remains confident that her continually reconsidered, constantly corrected career path now has her pointed in just the right direction." Way to go, Theresa!

Cabell King is another '97 making a difference. Beginning in June he will bike from Point Reyes, California, to Cape Henlopen State Park, Delaware. He and his hound Coltrane will take the 5,000-mile trek on the southern route of the American Discovery Trail to raise money for the School for Ethics and Global Leadership in Washington, D.C. The start-up semester school for high school juniors will focus on ethical thinking skills, leadership development and international studies. To make a donation or follow Cabell's progress, visit www.dogonwheels.us. Good luck with the ride, Cabell and Coltrane!

Taja-Nia Henderson sent the following update: "I graduated from NYU Law last year and have been honored to work for this academic year as a teaching fellow in constitutional law here at the law school. Once my one-year position here is up I'm moving to Los Angeles, where I'll clerk for a federal judge for a year. I'm excited (and at least a little nervous) about moving!

"I am happy to report that one of my college roommates, Tiffany West, and her husband, Darent Polk, recently gave birth to a son, Jaren Miles Polk. The baby was a 'whopper,' weighing in at nearly 10 pounds! I was down in D.C. at the end of February and had the chance to bond with the little one. He has future Dartmouth grad written all over him!

"As for my other roomies: My freshman year roommate Llezlie Green is currently a litigator at Cohen Milstein in Washington, D.C. Kaia Greene is still working for Disney, but these days she's working out in Anaheim. I'm looking forward to crashing on her couch when I move to L.A. Who doesn't love Mickey Mouse?"

Congratulations to newlyweds Camille (Masini) Barreto and her husband, Luis, who were married in January in Luis' hometown of Lima, Peru. Camille wrote: "Luis and I met while both investment bankers in New York after getting our M.B.A.S from Columbia. I recently moved into private banking in order to have more time to enjoy with our 3-year-old son, Damien. We are down in Tribeca and of course love meeting up with old friends if anyone's in the area!"

Finally, congratulations to Matt Ford and his wife, who welcomed their daughter, Madeleine Ann Ford, on December 18, 2005. She weighed 7 pounds, 1 ounce and was 19 inches long.
