Hello '50s! Keep the news coming—there's a good amount of information about all of you this month, so I'll just get right to it! Kyle Oberle wrote in September to say that he has taken a job as a legal assistant—he had already worked in London and was currently working in Athens, Greece. Congratulations on the new job, Kyle.
Kaitlin Jaxheimer tells me that Margot Laporte and Jetti Gibson have left N.Y.C. to attend law school—Jetti at the University of Richmond and Margot at Duke.
Adam Corrado and Kassidee Kipp left San Francisco in the fall and are spending the next six months in El Paso, according to Tim Milikin.
Sam Lederer started his second year teaching English in Japan this fall.
Nick Chukiat left N.Y.C. in the fall and began working for a real estate private equity firm in Boston.
Clint Hendler and Dan Hui wrote to tell about Carly Mensch's new play, The Delicate Business ofBoy and Miss Girl (see more on this, page 55), which was staged in August at the Fringe Festival (an international theater festival in N.Y.C.). NYTheater.com says that it is "an absolute mustsee debut from the gifted playwright...a representation of all that is great about under-the-radar theater in New York." Gordon Gray and Cliff Campbell '04 acted in this performance, which was directed by Marina McClure '04.
Karisa Bruin performed in Not Another Showcase in June to a packed audience and, las: I heard, was preparing for another big showing at the Wings Theater in New York City.
Asource close to Scott Anderson tells me that he proposed to his now-fiancee Sue DuBois (me!) in September. We plan to get married this comingjune 2007 in sunny California.
Jessica Blanch spent the summer in Nicaragua "creating a master plan for a village of coffee farmers who are getting the chance to own land for the first time." Now she is in Seattle working at a nonprofit architecture firm and getting ready to apply for grad school in architecture. She tells me that Susie Dain-Owens just left Seattle to go to ÜBC for grad school. Gretchen Gehrke also finished her short stay in Seattle—arriving after spending a year in Guyana, she's now in Michigan for grad school.
Meg Thering just started her second year at Columbia law school this fall after spending the summer working at Arkin Kaplan Rice in New York. She also spent the rest of her summer traveling to London and southern France with Krista Sande-Kerback and spending time in New Jersey with Jeanne Franzone and Emily Liu.
Brooke Wehrenberg wrote to say in August she completed the Lifetime Fitness Triathlon in Minneapolis with Priscilla Zee '04. They finished around 200 th (out of 2,000 participants) and were first and second in their age group for swimming. She also met up with Erin Lesser, Lauren Ross and Jeanne Franzone in Monaco and reports that "we managed not to lose all of our money in Monte Carlo." Good luck starting law school at the University of Michigan, Brooke!
Keith Schuricht is working in New York and spending half of his time in Minneapolis. He says, "If anyone in either place wants to catch up, drop me a line."
Alana Hanks moved to Vail, Colorado, and is working for a small marketing company. While working in the "real world" she says she has a lot of time for traveling and playing in the mountains.
