Bruce Miller, the participation chair for the wildly successful efforts of our class to achieve a 75 percent participation rate in the most recent Dartmouth College Fund, provided the following news headlines from his fundraising calls with classmates. John van Heusen Halsey lives in Southampton, Long Island, where he is the founder and president of the Peconic Land Trust, dedicated to open land preservation and conservancy. Dick Pantalone, M.D., studied mediciane at the University of Pittsburgh and is certified in hand surgery. He recently returned from a trip to Ethiopia, where he volunteered his surgical skills. David Murphy is president of the Red Wing Shoe Cos. in Minnesota, maker of a wide variety of quality boots and shoes. Another Minnesotan, Jacqueline Leavitt Stafford, M.D., practices at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester.
