First off, Milton Ochieng and his brother Fred '05 opened the doors of a clinic in their home village of Lwala, Kenya, on April 2. Their clinic, called the Lwala Community Clinic, will provide basic outpatient care for adults and children with diseases such as malaria that are easily treated by medication. It will also give prenatal care to pregnant women. The clinic will eventually expand to provide treatment for more complicated illnesses and will house a laboratory, enabling workers to supply anti-retroviral treatment to HIV/MDS patients in the area. Milton and Fred are both currently medical students at Vanderbilt.

Meanwhile, Kane Russell and Ally Basak are living and teaching in Ecuador through World Teach. In addition to their teaching, Kane and Ally are working with the government in Ibarra on a project to increase tourism.

Crosby Haynes wrote in from Washington, D.C., that she just started work at a small boutique real estate development firm called City Interests LLC that focuses on redevelopment in southeast and northeast D.C. Crosby spent a weekend in March skiing at Mt. Snowwith Danielle Luber, Nick Blum and Andrew Biggs. Danielle is looking forward to law school next year, Blum is still working at the Monitor Group in Boston and Biggs is working at State Street Financial in Boston.

Amy Benziger lived in a ski house with Averill Doering and Betsy Winston '03 at Lake Tahoe for the winter. They worked as little as possible and skied as much as possible given the little snow that they got. Amy organized a mini-reunion up at Squaw Valley Ski Area on March 10. Geoff Vitt, Aaron Gillespie, Jessica Van Garsse, Abby Johnson, Leslie Feingerts, Rob Daly, Tommy Cisco '03 and many others made it out for a great day. After the ski season Amy plans to move to Thailand to teach and then to travel around Southeast Asia. She wrote, "Would love to meet up with any Dartmouth kids who will be around there!"

Caryn Karo wrote in to say that she ran the Boston Marathon in the sleet and wind on Patriots Day. She ran with Tufts University, where she works in development, and raised almost $3,000 for fitness and nutrition research. She was especially grateful for the Dartmouth support on Patriots' Day: Ryan van Hoff, Michael Newton, Gino Beniamino Jen Pascucci '03,Travis DAmato '03, lan Sarr '05 and Ethan Levine '03 were all there to cheer her on!

On the engagement front, congratulations to Greg Hammond, who is engaged to Kate Collins (Bates '04).
