Some war stories: George Baine and your secretary were second looies in the Signal Corps, so we had some stories to share. George has lost his sight but he's a survivor, and manages very well with the aid of a longtime friend, Shirley. Another survivor is Rich Fisher in Bloomfield, Connecticut, who had a stroke five months ago. He and his wife, Marilyn, are living in a senior retirement community, where they enjoy the health care available to residents. Rich recalled his work in starting the Dartmouth Club of Hartford many years ago. Jack and Jacqueline Bowe have moved into an independent living facility in Charleston, South Carolina. He has a knee problem but it doesn't stop him from golfing twice a week and riding his bike around the area. Downey Gray was happy to report from Louisville, Kentucky, that his grandson Stewart was accepted for Dartmouth class of '11, following in the footsteps of his father, Jack '75. Stewart was second in his high school class in Memphis, Tennessee. Y'all stay well.
